Kit List
To ensure we can care for your child effectively, we ask that the following items are provided.
From the beginning
A recent family photograph of your child with the people he/ she loves the most – if you cannot squeeze everyone into 1 picture, please do bring 2! This helps your child feel at home here, have a sense of belonging, and also helps our staff know who the people are that your child talks about.
An identifiable, named material bag (please not drawstring or plastic) to keep your child’s things in.
A small cuddly toy/ blanket/ comforter from home. This may be very important for your child at nursery even if it is not at home.
Any medicine that your child relies on – inhalers, Piriton, Epi-pens, to be kept at nursery.
Nappies and wipes if required.
Any over the counter creams for bottoms or eczema that you use.
Spare clothes – we suggest 2 complete changes with the inclusion of socks, pants and tights. This enables your child to remain comfortable and warm even after playing with water, paint, the garden or accidents.
Sensible indoor shoes – something that your child can be comfortable in throughout the day, which protects little toes.
Welly boots for wet weather.
Sun hats and sun cream, or warm hats, gloves and scarfs.
If your child stays for lunch, a named lunch bag/ box with an ice-pack will be required.
We do provide aprons for messy activities, and all in one waterproofs for messy garden play.
We endeavour to look after your child’s possessions and clothing, and do ask that items are named where possible (see easy2name leaflet).
Please send your child to nursery in older clothing that he/ she can comfortably play in.
